Tony asked:"When we post a pic on a forum, we click on a browser and choose the picture from a file, it's then automatically sized and inserted.
Would it be possible to do something similar for Avatars?"
There is a way to upload your Avatar onto the TTN server and access it from there, although this won't automatically size your Avatar. Sorry, you need to use a photo editing program. Your digital camera should have come with one
If you have an image and it is avatar sized, since you are a member Tony, you can do the following:
1) Enter any forum and click on the 'Post' icon to bring up a blank posting form.
2) Scroll to the bottom and click on 'Click here to choose your file'
3) Click on 'Browse... and find your image file that you want to use as an avatar.
4) Click on 'Upload File!' Then on 'Close this window'
5) Copy the filename that appears in the 'Attachment:' field
6) Navigate back to Conferences -> User Menu -> Edit your profile
7) Paste the following path into the Avatar Image field:
"http://www.totallytriumph.net/dcforum/User_files/<filename from step 5>"
Substitute in your uploaded file name and don't include the quotes. You may need two windows open to do this efficiently.
I didn't actually test this, but I use the method to embed pictures within a post. It should work. Good Luck!

Just a test to see if this works to get my avatar posted.
