"Old cars"

Hi Guys!
Jeff left me a message on Facebook asking how my car projects were doing. I haven't posted here for a long time so I thought it was a good reason to post.
My spitfire has been running like a top for the last year with no issues. I drove it about 3000 miles this year, last time being two weeks ago.

My friends Corvette is going through the work out the bugs period. The great deal we got on a rebuilt correct carb from eBay was not as good a deal as we thought as it had to be rebuilt to correct the shoddy rebuild job that had been done on it, same goes for the tranny. Keith had the transmission rebuilt 20 years ago but never installed it in the car. It lasted about two weeks before it started making the same noise in reverse that it had in its previous life. On the bright side, it has won two first place trophies in the small local shows we have entered it in. It could do better but it needs new upholstery, mostly seats and door panels.
Hope you all had a great Christmas and Happy new year.

Harold

   Sweet ride, Harold!

Is that "conifer green" that you've painted it? It's a good color for the roundtails!

Dennis

Having just tricked my wife into giving me a green-light, I'm now hunting for a 1500 (or a Mk3 or a Mk2 or a MkIV, whatever I can get my hands on) project car...
